With the attached file, which is the beginning of the wml source of http://www.debian.org/events/1999/0327-vatech-springfest, we have the following behavior: $ file test.wml test.wml: Apple Partition data block size: 25958, If I replace/add/remove any char in this file, then we have the expected behavior, i.e. ASCII text, so I suspect something related with an identical hash value or something like that (I have no idea how it works), but it may hide a more serious problem.
