It is a file, not a directory: $ more nfsroot/boot/patches-2.6.* :::::::::::::: nfsroot/boot/patches-2.6.14-fai-kernels :::::::::::::: /usr/src/kernel-patches/all/2.6.14/apply/debian :::::::::::::: nfsroot/boot/patches-2.6.8-fai :::::::::::::: /usr/src/kernel-patches/all/2.6.8/apply/debian $ I don't know why this is created.
