As you would probably guess correctly this is not enough information to give any meaningful help. There are many related issues and some of them have been resolved by fixing the kernel/upgrading ALSA: https://www.google.hu/search?q=Intel+NUC+hdmi+sound+linux I assume when you upgraded kodi you also upgraded other packages and one of them broke HDMI sound.
