If I set a package status to hold using dpkg-hold, then the hold is
honored by aptitude, apt-get, and dselect.

If I set a package status to hold using aptitude's "=" cpmmand, then the
hold is honored by aptitude, but the hold is not honored by either
apt-get or by dselect.

Thanks for the report.  This seems to happen also with recent versions
of aptitude.
