I wanted to use pngnq to downsize several screenshots. The pngnq man page suggested to use the “-e .png” and “-f” options together, which resulted in pngnq truncating the input files and then crashing with this error: > pngnq - Error in pngnq.c near line 498 : > rwpng_read_image() error: 21 My screenshots are lost. Testing revealed the following behaviour: Invoking “pngnq -e .png -f […]” will truncate all the input files. It will give no output.
