I don't want to argue, and I'm sure gnome habits to break things play a role here, as I fully understand you need to find a way to make things work for everyone but it also seems upstream xorg choose (really recently I confess) a default way to work (see [1] |2] and [3]) which debian isn't following ATM, that's what I was reporting. In the mean time, I'll use a local conf file to force libinput use. Thanks for your time and contributions. regards, Nicolas [1] https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/commit/?id=3f569ec493e738242da97afe30f7dd2a3b2b834d [2] https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxwacom/xf86-input-wacom/ci/0da5cd545e38079b62656a23835c4943af05dc92/ [3] https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-synaptics/commit/?id=59e5db025307404fbfbc82f2fb3fe91d6a3005d7
