you're missing the cpufreq driver for your cpu. That's exactely what cpufreq-info says. > # uname -a > Linux jidanni2 2.6.12-1-686 #1 Tue Sep 27 12:52:50 JST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux I assume this is a _cpufrequtils_ wishlist bug, not cpufreqd. > BTW, > http://www.mk-stuff.de/artikel-linux_on_an_ibm_thinkpad_r50e.php#freq > finds "no savings while decreasing the CPU frequency. Here's a nice presentation you may find useful: http://www.brodo.de/linux/lt05/presentation.pdf Look at page 9. > BTW, > In /usr/share/doc/cpufrequtils/README.Debian say "in" not "to". where exactly? thanks. > And where is it documented what speed 0 means in the /etc file? in /etc/defaults/cpufrequtils (I assume you submitted this bug to the wrong package). Dan, care to put some light on what this bug is for? :) thanks -- mattia :wq! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
