  Perhaps, but I do not know how to check that. Sometimes, it
happened when I was writing a new mail (typing my text) so I suspect
it comes from a background operation. But I do not know how to
check that.
  My mail config is a main IMAP account on localhost (served by
dovecot) and a few other IMAP accounts rarely used. I configured
all of these to do *not* have a local copy for offline.
