Package: git
Version: 1:2.8.1-1
Severity: normal

If a repository contains a symbolic ref whose target does not exist yet
(similar to how HEAD looks when pointing to an unborn branch that
doesn't have any commits yet), tab completion for many commands, such as
git branch or git checkout, will emit errors like "warning: ignoring
broken ref refs/SYMREF" repeatedly during completion. I don't think it
makes sense to emit such errors during completion.
