I think this is probably not relevant for us: * The latest release of Rational Purify is of 2009, so it is quite dead * It is propertiary software, so the inclusion in Debian is unprobable * Today, the (again propertiary) successor is called "PurifyPlus" IMO, there is no reason to honor the name forever, and I would especially not care too much about a non-free program here. If at some day IBM/Rational purify would become DFSG conform and we want to include it in Debian (unprobably IMO anyway), we still can call it "ibm-purify" or "rational-purify", so this is not a showstopper.
