Thanks, I had noticed this as well - it was missed during the PHP5 -> PHP7 transition. Additionally, MediaWiki no longer needs that configuration at all, so I'm working removing it entirely: <https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/299113/>. -- Kunal
