Package: coreutils Version: 8.25-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I am trying to use stdbuf tool on a 32bit Binary, this will result in a failure: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/coreutils/libstdbuf.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64): ignored. To make this work seemlessly, LD_PRELOAD would need to be used with the plain library libstdbuf.so and the library would need to be installed in the proper locations for 64 and 32bit. Likely this would mean using a seperate binary package for the library to allow co-installing both? -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages coreutils depends on: ii libacl1 2.2.52-2 ii libattr1 1:2.4.47-2 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libselinux1 2.3-2 ii multiarch-support 2.19-18+deb8u4 coreutils recommends no packages. coreutils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
