Package: checkinstall
Version: 1.5.3-3
Severity: wishlist

There's been a beta (1.6.0beta4) out since December. Which is not to be
interpreted as a critique but just an indicator, that it might be quite
stable. However I'm neither involved in checkinstalls development nor am
I following the mailing list, so I have absolutely no clue - it's just
an indicator.

1.6.0beta4 features (AFAICS) some very nice additions such as:

* being able to reuse the spec file - so you don't have to enter the
  same info over and over again
* dependencies

Thanks,
