OK, that solves a *little* bit of the mystery. However, I still have
no clue as to why it appears twice. And FWIW, this happens even
specifying the --no-default-keyring with my own key: It appears only
once in the 2016.07.02 version (from the installed package), but
twice in our working tree:

$ gpg2 --no-default-keyring --keyring /usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg

And I get the same behaviour with GPG 1. Now, trying to understand
some bits... I am surprised at the size difference:

$ ls -lh /usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg
/home/gwolf/vcs/debian-keyring/output/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 gwolf gwolf 36M Jul  8 07:38
/home/gwolf/vcs/debian-keyring/output/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root  root  27M Jul  3 03:52 /usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg

They should be roughly the same size! Maybe I didn't do some cleanup
when preparing the 2016.07.08 update (for which we did a tree push but
not a package upload)?
