Sorry, the last report was partly out of memory. It just happened again, here
are the symptoms:
Trying to enter the directory /fs/doom/var/lib/mythtv pointing to
/fs/doom_localvol4/... gives me:
bash: cd: archive: No such file or directory
(archive is another symlink :)
And automount logs:
Jan 20 22:01:19 cerebro automount[14534]: failed to mount
/fs/doom_localvol4/var
(note the added /var).
$ cd /fs
$ ls -la
drwxr-xr-x 31 root root 4096 Jan 19 21:50 doom
dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Jan 20 19:09 doom_localvol4
The permissions etc. on /fs/doom_localvol4 are not correct, either.
$ cd /fs/doom_localvol4
# works, this is different to my original report, which was wrong
$ ls .
ls: .: No such file or directory
Mounting manually, as usual, works:
$ mount doom:/localvol4 .
$ ls
doom-localvol4 doom-sda1 var
$ ls -ld /fs/doom_localvol4
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 53 Jan 20 10:45 doom_localvol4
