Hi This bug seems to have been fixed by Debian/Wheezy, which has wodim version 9:1.1.11-2 .
Please check whether it works for you under Wheezy. If so, then. I suggest that bug #495184, and perhaps some others, should be closed. I believe that the original submitter can do that through the bug tracking system. A similar bug has appeared in Jessie which has wodim version 9:1.1.11-3. This has been recorded as bug #833346 .
