Package: pan
Version: 0.140-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Hi,

Pan launches an external browser when clicking on a link. However, there
are two problems:

1. When the launch is unsuccessful, there is no feedback given to the
user. All you get is no reaction to the click. You can try this by
setting the browser command to a non-existent program.

2. The default for a gnome environment is gnome-open, which is shipped
by libgnome2-bin, which is not installed by default on a gnome install.

I think 1 needs upstream work, but for 2 it might be sufficient to use
xdg-open or sensible-browser instead of gnome-open.
