I think, the merge is not quite correct, because #695664 is about embedded code copies (source or not), while #836181 is about missing source, which might even render the package unfit for release. Anyway, whatever is more convenient for you as maintainer.
Known, but there is still nobody with javascript experience, who wants to help/maintain it with me.
The problem is, that node-grunt is not yet in Debian (RFP #673727) and many JS libraries use it to build. Whoever packages it, gets a free coffee (or beer) from me! Antonio Terceiro did "emulate" the grunt behaviour for jquery: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-javascript/jquery.git/tree/debian/build.js jquery build-depends only on a few node packages.
