Package: network-manager Version: 1.2.4-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I use TP-LINK TL-WN422G USB device to connect to a wireless network. Sometimes it works after a reboot but sometimes doesn't. (When it doesn't the tiny lamp indicator of the device does not light up.) Workaround: Unplug it from USB and plug again. Here is a tail of my dmesg output: [ 28.297374] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 43.473482] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 43.649375] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 6 using xhci_hcd [ 48.661500] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Command completion event does not match command [ 48.661537] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 48.961123] blk_update_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 [ 48.961136] floppy: error -5 while reading block 0 [ 53.877544] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 54.081466] usb 2-1.1: device not accepting address 6, error -62 [ 54.153469] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd [ 59.157585] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Command completion event does not match command [ 59.157590] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 64.373637] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 64.577550] usb 2-1.1: device not accepting address 7, error -62 [ 64.577924] usb 2-1-port1: unable to enumerate USB device [ 64.619410] media: Linux media interface: v0.10 [ 64.623435] Linux video capture interface: v2.00 [ 64.625294] gspca_main: v2.14.0 registered [ 64.626186] gspca_main: t613-2.14.0 probing 17a1:0128 [ 64.829215] input: t613 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.7/0000:06:00.0/usb2/2-2/input/input19 [ 64.829530] usbcore: registered new interface driver t613 [ 65.162353] Process accounting resumed [ 65.513552] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 8 using xhci_hcd [ 70.585563] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 78.408976] fuse init (API version 7.24) [ 78.855817] do_trap: 270 callbacks suppressed [ 78.855823] traps: gsettings-data-[3261] trap int3 ip:b73d4687 sp:bfe6bd10 error:0 in libglib-2.0.so.0.4800.1[b7387000+126000] [ 78.860503] traps: gsettings-data-[3272] trap int3 ip:b740e687 sp:bfeee110 error:0 in libglib-2.0.so.0.4800.1[b73c1000+126000] [ 79.148589] traps: gsettings-data-[3331] trap int3 ip:b7395687 sp:bfb74620 error:0 in libglib-2.0.so.0.4800.1[b7348000+126000] [ 85.761133] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 85.937037] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd [ 91.016954] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 106.192650] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 [ 106.368502] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd [ 111.380493] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Command completion event does not match command [ 111.380527] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 116.596323] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 116.800223] usb 2-1.1: device not accepting address 10, error -62 [ 116.872213] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 11 using xhci_hcd [ 121.876202] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Command completion event does not match command [ 121.876208] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 127.092084] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command [ 127.295981] usb 2-1.1: device not accepting address 11, error -62 [ 127.296318] usb 2-1-port1: unable to enumerate USB device [ 127.487963] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 12 using xhci_hcd [ 132.559895] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages network-manager depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii dbus 1.10.10-1 ii init-system-helpers 1.42 ii libaudit1 1:2.6.6-1 ii libbluetooth3 5.36-1+b2 ii libc6 2.23-5 ii libglib2.0-0 2.48.1-3 ii libgnutls30 3.5.3-3 ii libgudev-1.0-0 230-3 ii libmm-glib0 1.6.0-1 ii libndp0 1.6-1 ii libnewt0.52 0.52.18-3 ii libnl-3-200 3.2.27-1 ii libnm0 1.2.4-2 ii libpam-systemd 231-4 ii libpolkit-agent-1-0 0.105-16 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-16 ii libreadline6 6.3-8+b4 ii libselinux1 2.5-3 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.54.1-1 ii libsystemd0 231-4 ii libteamdctl0 1.26-1 ii libuuid1 2.28.1-1 ii lsb-base 9.20160629 ii policykit-1 0.105-16 ii udev 231-4 ii wpasupplicant 2.5-2+v2.4-2 Versions of packages network-manager recommends: pn crda <none> ii dnsmasq-base 2.76-3 ii iptables 1.6.0-3 ii iputils-arping 3:20150815-2 ii isc-dhcp-client 4.3.4-1 pn modemmanager <none> ii ppp 2.4.7-1+3 Versions of packages network-manager suggests: pn libteam-utils <none> -- no debconf information
