[Elimar Riesebieter] >> Hi. I noticed something strange when trying to rip the second CD in the >> two CD pack Male by Foetus in Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe[1]. The first >> CD is ripped and tagged correctly, but the second is tagged with the > > Did you tried (from ripit(1)): > --addtrackoffset
Nope, did not occur to me that the default setup could not handle this. When using --addtrackoffset, I get this instead: Artist: Foetus in Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe Album: Male Category: musicbrainz Genre-tag: Unknown discogs: 328503 Barcode: 718751843127 Catalog: ABB31/2CD Language: English Release date: 1992 Year: 1992 Revision: unknown CD ID: 580d0107 DiscID: ElWNw4G38q5.gRQYFea9eysqKCs- MB ID: f141ce20-5eb0-4fa5-8ef3-7d1721a2d196 CD length: 55:31 09: [08:42.25] Anything (Viva!) 10: [02:00.17] Death Rape 2000 11: [04:56.62] Puppet Dude 12: [07:55.36] Stumbo 13: [09:25.63] Someone Drowned in My Pool 14: [08:06.00] Behemoth 15: [14:25.15] Your Salvation A lot better. Thank you. Why isn't this setting the default? Is there something I should be aware of if I enable it by default in my setup? Btw, why isn't ripit storing the musicbrainz ID in the ID3 tags? It would make picard and ripit work better together. musicbrainz_albumid seem to be the tag used by picard for this? If ripit did, it would be a lot easier to notice in picard when ripit got it wrong. :) -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
