thanks a lot for implementing this!
It sure works for me. However, I am uncertain whether Debian Python policy
would mandate dedicated python{3}-patoolib packages. You might want to
double-check that.
I didn't do a full review, but I noticed one tiny thing:
Vcs-Git URL wrong in debian/control
Any of these should do it:
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/patool.git
git://anonscm.debian.org/collab-maint/patool.git
You can verify with `debcheckout patool` that the current URL is wrong.
