Source: freetype
Version: 2.6.3-3+b1
Severity: wishlist

Hi there,

last week, the freetype project has seen a new upstream release 2.7.
Among the changes are: "A new subpixel hinting mode has been
contributed by Nikolaus Waxweiler, which is now the default rendering
mode for TrueType fonts." This will mean a vast rendering improvement
for many fonts!

I know that you are rather conservative with user-visible changes, but
maybe it would be possible to package the new releae for experimental
first (or allow me to upload it as an NMU there)?

Cheers,

Fabian
