After I installed hexchat-otr and someone else tried to establish an OTR connection with me I got the following error and establishing the connection failed: OTR: Error saving instance tags: No such file or directory (gcrypt) I expected the connection to work. Well, I figured a workaround for this: installing libgcrypt20-dev package. After that the connection could be made.
