Hi James, seems you had the same idea as me, this is my new /etc/vim/vimrc.local:
runtime! defaults.vim let g:skip_defaults_vim = 1 set mouse= Works like a charm :-) (just wanted to get it documented in the bug report). Thanks for your patience Kind regards Harald Jenny
