Do you have python-gtk2 and python-glade2 packages installed? (Note that if by any chance you upgraded apt-listchanges to version 3.x, than please check if you have python3-gi package installed instead). Synaptic overrides apt-listchanges's frontend to "gtk". However the frontend requires the above mentioned packages to work properly, otherwise apt-listchanges switches to the pager frontend. Regards, robert
