The problem might be fixed in the recently uploaded version 2.2.9-1 in
unstable. Please report back, if your issue has been solved.

If not, please try to provide a backtrace of the crash. If you are
using bluefish 2.2.7 there is a separate bluefish-dbg package from the
main archive containing the symbols. If you are using the latest
version 2.2.9, the debugging symbols are available from the debian-
debug service. You can find some useful instructions here:

Please attach the backtrace to your bug report.
