There are many mentions of the user of the application, in the
implementation and test cases especially.

The descriptions assume throughout that the user is male, for no good
reason that I can see. This is needlessly exclusionary of users
regardless of gender.

I have made a branch that re-phrases the gendered descriptions of the
user, so that any user is described no matter their gender. See
for the branch with those changes.
