Hi David,
gparted fails to start with the following error:
gparted-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libparted-1.6.so.13:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Installing package libparted1.6-13 fixes the problem.
However, things may not be as simple as they seem:
When building the gparted package, I get:
dh_shlibdeps

After installing package libparted1.6-13, I get for 'dpkg -L

So, it looks like dh_shlibdeps lloks for the the libparted library in
/usr/lib but the package has it in /lib. The latter might be wrong, not
sure.
Feel free to reassign to package libparted1.6-13 or dpkg-dev as you see
fit - I'm only reporting against gparted because this where I
entcountered to problem. Also, please let me know if you need more
information.
I understand that amd64 is now an official architecture.
