Package: lvm2 Version: 2.02.164-1 Severity: important I use dm-cache to speed up a laptop that has a slow disk and a small ssd. After shutting the laptop down using hibernate, it will no longer be able to boot and will complain about a corrupted cache (manual repair required).
I never succeeded in fixing the cache, and always remove it (lvconvert --uncache) using a rescue memory stick and add it again afterwards. I always assumed that it was just a problem with hibernate on this laptop, but that is not the case: when the dm-cache is disabled, hibernate is working just fine on this laptop. (I tested repeatedly to be sure of this.) The dm-cache is set up using the default policy (writethrough). The problem does not seem specific to the latest kernel version, I noticed the problem with the debian kernels 4.5.0, 4.6.0 and 4.7.0.
