Package: aalib1-dev Version: 1.4p5-22 If on a testing system, I do "apt-get install libnewt-dev aalib1-dev" I get an error. The problem is that aalib1-dev requires slang1-dev and libnewt-dev requires slang1-utf8-dev and slang1-dev and slang1-utf8-dev conflict.
Bug #134376 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=134376) should provide some further info on this issue.
