In version 5.1.0 selecting an entry in the dropdown menu, creating and removing name/tag works as intended (nothing empty, frame is removed immediately) and I do not get any other update issues when playing around. As this bug is pretty old I mark it as fixed, feel free to correct that if you still have a problem.
