hunspell is the preferred spellchecker for many European languages, because it handles accents and umlauts better than myspell. The task-german-desktop recommends the dictionaries hunspell-de-de, hunspell-de-at and hunspell-de-ch.

hunspell is also used by LibreOffice, and the package firefox-esr notably depends on libhunspell-1.3-0.

But whenever I install the German localization firefox-esr-l10n-de, it wants to remove all hunspell dictionaries and install the corresponding myspell dictionaries instead. This would actually be a regression.

In aptitude, I always have to cancel the removal and leave the dependencies of the package firefox-esr-l10n-de "unresolved". Of cause, the dictionaries are only recommended; but aptitude and apt-file are usually set to install all recommendations.

So it would be a much better choice, if the package firefox-esr-l10n-de would recommend the hunspell dictionaries hunspell-de-de, hunspell-de-at, and hunspell-de-ch instead, just like task-german-desktop.
