Was reported before 840193², although I retitled that bug as this was intended (albeit not desirable) behavior upstream. Upstream is cursing programming icon behavior across different DEs (that is why the word "GNOME" is in the description). Right. I think this should be fixed, although, maybe it works as intended in Gnome (no idea, because I have KDE and the icon functionality is fully broken there).
