it seems that at least on the i386 and amd64 buildds, XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is set to a nonexisting directory, /run/user/2952. libguestfs 1:1.34.3-3 fails during make quickcheck[1]. (The error message is a bit misleading.) libguestfs 1:1.34.3-4 passes[2] as I have explicitly unset XDG_RUNTIME_DIR for make quickcheck. I think that having XDG_RUNTIME_DIR set inside the sbuild chroot does not make a lot of sense, perhaps it should be unset / filtered by schroot.
