Package: rt2500-source Version: 1.1.0+cvs20051217-1 Severity: important
tar make make install leaves you with an alias in /etc/modprobe.conf , instead of somewhere within /etc/modprobe.d , as I believe it should. Also, the compiled rt2500.ko module is left in /lib/modules/2.6.12/extra/rt2500.ko instead of somewhere below /lib/modules/2.6.12-1-686/ as it should. Consequently, modprobe does not find the module, and nothing functions. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages rt2500-source depends on: ii debhelper 5.0.10 helper programs for debian/rules ii module-assistant 0.10.2 tool to make module package creati rt2500-source recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
