Package: rt2500-source
Version: 1.1.0+cvs20051217-1
Severity: important

tar
make
make install

leaves you with an alias in /etc/modprobe.conf , instead
of somewhere within /etc/modprobe.d , as I believe it should.
Also, the compiled rt2500.ko module is left in
/lib/modules/2.6.12/extra/rt2500.ko instead of somewhere
below /lib/modules/2.6.12-1-686/ as it should.
Consequently, modprobe does not find the module,
and nothing functions.
