This doesn't choke when I install it, I just get: Setting up global (5.7.1-2) ... Install global for emacs <all done> But obviously, that's because I'm vim people and don't have emacs installed ... so thanks for doing some digging and pointing at what new hoops this needs to jump through for people who do. The goto-line one at least doesn't appear to be fixed in the new upstream code, so if it actually causes a problem for people using this, it will need a patch written still one way or the other.
