Hi Tobias,

I've been talking with Don and some lilypond devs, sorry for not keeping
you in the loop I didn't realize you were one of the maintainers, here
is my updated notes:

The eight patches at https://ao2.it/tmp/lilypond-guile2/ should fix the
FTBFS, I guess Don hasn't had the chance to add them to the debian
package yet, let me know how they work out.

However, even if the build succeeds there are still some encoding
issues:
