which could be the cause of this problem. However, apt / apt-get still has broken logic: in the last case apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-settings nvidia-driver libgl1-nvidia-glx nvidia-driver-libs-i386 does not signal any broken Recommends, while one at least has been broken.
