In Debian with GNOME there are two shortcuts for starting imagemagick in the GNOME menu both nothing happens when click them because theyr commandons ends with " %f": /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ImageMagick-6.8.9/bin-Q16/display %f /usr/bin/display-im6 %f When running the commands from console i get: "unable to open image `%f'" Removing the " %f" part makes the shortcuts work. Also: Perhaps better to just have one shortcut or to change the names/icons so its more clear what the difference is. The one icon is just a generic icon. -- Package-specific info: ImageMagick program version --------------------------- animate: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org compare: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org convert: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org composite: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org conjure: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org display: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org identify: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org import: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org mogrify: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org montage: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org stream: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2016-09-23 http://www.imagemagick.org -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=da_DK.utf8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages imagemagick depends on: ii imagemagick-6.q16 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u5 imagemagick recommends no packages. imagemagick suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
