just because this file '/usr/share/applications/cinnamon-polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop' has some thing wrong. In this file, at about line 82, there is 'Exec=/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1', but in the fact, there is no directory named policykit-1-gnome in '/usr/lib/'. It should be 'Exec=/usr/lib/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1'

This file was recently moved in the policykit-1-gnome package. It would be nice to ping the revert dependencies. I'll fix this issue in the next upload of cinnamon, sadly this change is now incompatible with jessie, making backports harder, and I fail to see any benefit. I'm clonning the issue to notify the policykit-1-gnome maintainers about this as a request to notify about further incompatible changes (feel free to close the cloned report).
