Package: gpsd Severity: wishlist Currently I have to install a gpsd locally to compile programs that can contact a remote GPSd server. It would also allow linking to libgps without depending on an installed gpsd (i.e. offer gps-functions as an /option/ in programs).
Having libgps as separate packages would be very nice for all this. This is also true for the python library that's included (it would also make 'apt-cache search python gps' work -- I re-did most of the work because I thought it didn't exist yet) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (750, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10 Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
