Package: bitlbee Version: 1.0.1-1 When testing bitlbee with piuparts, I found the following problem:
Purging configuration files for bitlbee ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/bitlbee.postrm: line 10: update-inetd: command not found dpkg: error processing bitlbee (--purge): subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 127 The postrm script can't rely on any packages that aren't marked essential when called to be purged (see policy). I suspect you need call update-inetd when the package is being removed, not when it is being purged.
