Package: usbview Version: 2.0-3 There has been a small amount of upstream patching in the development repo
https://github.com/gregkh/usbview to support some modern devices etc. I have also done a revision pass on the packaging scripts to enable a desktop file hooked into policykit, harden the executable (which after all sees unsanitised data from removable devices) etc. These are in https://github.com/barak/usbview branch: master Thanks for packaging usbview; I find it surprisingly useful.
