Sorry, i cannot copy and paste the results. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling tor and now it appears to create the user but I cannot confirm the /etc/init.d/tor file since it uses the old one. I tried to delete the old one and then reinstall but then I did not have any /etc/init.d/tor script at all. Have you tried installing the package personally and trying to run tor as a daemon.
