Hi there, sorry for writing such a confusing bug report; The new pieces of information were that the bug is still present in the newest apt-build and that it seems to get the version number right but chokes on epoch. Is this a bug of apt-build or libapt-pkg-perl ? If it is the latter, could you sort this bug to the right place ?
