hi cyril, your suggestion for using ulimit would work in smaller installations, but in larger environments i think it would prevent nagios from being able to run all needed checks.
i think it's at least worth mentioning though, so i will add something
to README.Debian and perhaps a commented out line in the init script
before closing out the bug.
