Hi, Sorry but the 173xx series has been deprecated by Nvidia so it's no longer maintained and has been removed a while ago from unstable/testing. Even if the kernel module build were to be made compatible with the kernel version in testing/unstable, 173xx does not support the current (or previous) Xorg server version, so it would be useless anyway See: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=754250 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=740535 With that card you have 2 choices: 1) Try your luck with nouveau 2) Install Debian 7 (Wheezy) where 173 has shipped and is compatible with kernel and xorg Note that given upstream has discontinued it there will be no fixes for security vulnerabilities (and I think there's already been a few since). Kind regards, Luca Boccassi
