Hmm, actually I'm surprised it even compiles. There were missing symbols trying to build with 2.4.13... > It should probably be upgraded to 0.7.2. It's not that simple. The problem(s) I'm aware of, mostly relate to the device rebinding code, used by this package (and the cpad one), which is not from the upstream distribution -- but which is required to distribute it as a standalone module. We've talked about pushing it upstream, but as you can see, after a couple of years things are back in flux again. To use the current pristine upstream source, you'll probably need to (patch and) rebuild your kernel core instead of just adding an extra module. Supporting this better is a work in progress on lk afaik, things certainly seem to be changing -- and there are newer versions of the wacom driver integrated with the Linus kernel too. I'm not sure if they are now sufficient by themselves for many people. Upstream still requires some ugly patches to unrelated kernel parts to avoid the device being bound by the wrong drivers... At this stage, someone either needs to do some legwork and throw me a bone about what sort of changes we should make to do things the '2.6.14' way -- or you'll need to be patient until things settle down again and I can find the time to do just that. There are other options if this is really urgent for somebody. Anyone with time to help, or some other case to push this up my todo list, is welcome to get in touch. best, Ron -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
