Package: libnet-ldns-perl Version: 0.75-1 This package seems to have a spurious dependency on libssl1.1. >From the build log:
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: package could avoid a useless dependency if debian/libnet-ldns-perl/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.24/auto/Net/LDNS/LDNS.so was not linked against libcrypto.so.1.1 (it uses none of the library's symbols) Indeed 'objdump -T /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.24/auto/Net/LDNS/LDNS.so' doesn't show anything libssl related. Looks like the linkage and all the other crypto/OpenSSL stuff in Makefile.PL are only needed for the bundled ldns library that is not used in the Debian package. -- Niko Tyni nt...@debian.org
