Since reporting this bug, I've been using the pdns-recursor package from Fedora 23 running under Docker and it has worked well with lua-ldap which ships with the distribution along with Lua 5.3. Would this link be of any help? http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/lua-ldap.git
